Our Leadership
Meet the team driving structured, sustainable change across India.
Rahul Verma
Founder & Chairperson
A child education reformer and community builder at heart, Rahul has spent years running sensitization programmes in schools, establishing care centres for street and neglected children, and championing vocational, future-ready education over rote learning. His equal conviction that every elder deserves dignity and gold-standard care led him to build Need of Change into a national-level NGO — touching 14,000+ lives across 7 states — on the foundation of accountability, not charity.
Pooja Bagri
Director, Child Welfare & Sensitization
With 13 years of frontline experience across Smile Foundation, Salaam Baalak Trust, and Childline India, Pooja brings rare depth in child protection, street child rehabilitation, and community sensitization. She leads our child-focused programmes with both professional rigour and genuine compassion — ensuring every child we serve is seen, heard, and supported.
Mona Daftari
Lead, Community Programmes
With 20 years serving with the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Government of India, Mona brings institutional depth that few in the sector can match. A distinguished narrator and speaker on Akashvani (All India Radio), she has led the Sickle Cell Anaemia awareness movement across Madhya Pradesh. She brings community trust, government relationships, and programme experience to every initiative she leads.
Sneha Singh Shekhawat
Lead, Elder Care & Intergenerational Empathy
An educator by training and a caregiver by calling, Sneha leads our elderly care initiatives with a rare combination of empathy and structure. She is pioneering an intergenerational model that brings young volunteers into meaningful, sustained relationships with senior citizens in old age homes — building dignity through connection, not just service delivery.
Nitesh Vyas
Policy & Education Advocacy
Nitesh brings 10 years of policy and advocacy experience across Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Awaaz Foundation. An active RTI leader in Madhya Pradesh, he has driven education accountability campaigns that have influenced state-level policy decisions. At Need of Change, he ensures our education programmes are not just impactful on the ground but aligned with — and contributing to — broader systemic reform.
Rahul Indurkar
Child Rights & Protection
A practising Advocate at the High Court, Rahul dedicates his legal expertise to those who need it most — children. Specialising in child rights, POCSO cases, and legal protection for marginalised communities, he ensures that Need of Change’s child welfare work is legally grounded and rights-based. He is the legal voice for children who have no voice in India’s justice system.
